Hammurabi project

Hammurabi is an advanced AI-driven platform that automates the generation of stop-loss insurance policies for employers across the United States. Our team developed a system that intelligently collects customer data—including age, gender, dependents, geographic location, and medical history—and autonomously generates personalized insurance policy recommendations. The platform also makes underwriting decisions using AI-based algorithms, offering insurers and employers smarter, faster solutions.


One of the core components of this project was large-scale healthcare data processing. We scraped charge data from over 5,400 U.S. hospitals, along with other machine-readable files from public health repositories.

These raw datasets were cleaned, normalized, and converted into a structured format, then integrated into the system to support accurate policy generation based on real-world medical costs.

The platform is built using Python, Django, and a PostgreSQL database. The frontend is developed in React.js, while Celery and Redis handle background tasks for efficient data processing. Machine learning models are used to forecast medical expenses, assess risk, and optimize insurance recommendations automatically. This 15-month project is a showcase of our expertise in full-stack web development, large-scale data engineering, and intelligent system design—delivering a powerful tool for modern insurance underwriting.
